We have distilled experiences from our community on how they interact with their communites and the police inforcement in their area. We hope shedding light on individual stories will help us better understand our city and focus our actions into possitive change.

5th District NOPD anti-crime walk

Date: Wed, Jun. 15, 2011 Come and join the members of the 5th District as well as various officials for the June 28, 2011 Anti- Crime Walk which will be held in the Lower 9th Ward/Sam Bonart Park area.

We will begin at Urquhart St. and Lizardi St. (Sam Bonart Playground), walk riverbound on Lizardi St. (crossing St.Claude and passing Brother's and the St. Claude Food Store {Orange Store}) to Burgundy St. ( by Mercede's Place lounge), walk in an uptown bound direction on Burgundy St. to Forstall St., then lakebound on Forstall St. crossing back across St. Claude and ending back at Sam Bonart Playground.

We will meet at 5:30- 5:45 pm at Sam Bonart Playgrond and begin the walk at 6:00 pm.
